| What We Say: | With a nice streamlined site design and a definite sense of humor, Howcast does it right. Founded by veterans of Google and YouTube, this site features thousands upon thousands of how-to videos ranging from highly practical to borderline ridiculous (in a good way). Case in point: the "Science and Technology" section has a video on how to make a trip wire alarm (useful)...and another one on how to create a baby-headed dancing frog (not quite as useful). They must be doing something right to be named one of the 50 best websites of 2008 by Time Magazine. Not too shabby. |

Worth Knowing
| Useful Tools | "Wiki Guides" are also featured, which offer written rather than video instructions for various topics. About 10 buttons for posting a video to sites like Digg and Reddit. |
